Jérôme Porlier


Executive Vice-President, Tissue  

 


 

Jérôme Porlier joined Cascades in 2012 as a Succession Plant Manager. Prior to that, his career in the manufacturing sector began at the Kruger Wayagamack plant in Trois-Rivières, then at Technocell in Drummondville. A graduate of Université de Sherbrooke with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Jérôme also holds an MBA from HEC Montréal, with a specialization in administration and management. He also completed Six Sigma’s Black Belt Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement training.

Upon joining Cascades in 2012, Jérôme Porlier took on responsibilities at the Cascades Tissue Group – Candiac plant. Less than two years later, he was promoted to Plant Manager of another Cascades Tissue Group unit: Papersource, located in Granby. Jérôme continued his growth by accepting new responsibilities in 2016, this time as General Manager of Cascades Tissue Group. He then went on to join Cascades Specialty Products Group in 2019, becoming Vice-President of Operations for the Packaging sector, then President and Chief Operating Officer for the entire Group in 2023. Jérôme was subsequently appointed Executive Vice-President for the Tissue business sector in 2024.

An engaging, organized manager appreciated for his positive leadership, he is committed to growing the company as a leader in sustainable packaging.

Jérôme Porlier is a native of Sept-Îles. Since 2021, he has been involved with the Fondation Charles-Bruneau as a cyclist in the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau. He also enjoys golf, skiing and tennis, and is actively involved in the sporting activities of his two boys, Émile and Rafael. His family and sport are important sources of balance for him.
