Media Advisory - Environmental discussion with Cascades CEO and Dr. David Suzuki

KINGSEY FALLS, QC, April 9, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - With Earth Day just around the corner, Cascades (TSX: CAS), a leader in the recovery and manufacturing of green packaging and tissue products, invites media representatives to its material recovery facility in Ottawa for a discussion about recovery, recycling, circular economy and environment in the presence of Mario Plourde, President and Chief Executive Officer at Cascades, Dr. David Suzuki, reknown environmentalist, and a group of students involved in the Ontario EcoSchools network. This discussion will be moderated by columnist and animator Frédéric Choinière, well versed in environmental issues.

Mario Plourde will also take this opportunity to make a special announcement about a new sustainability initiative that the company will deploy in Ontario.

The event will conclude with a tour of the sorting facility to demonstrate the circular path followed by paper and paperboard products after collection in the recovery bin.

Please take note that the event will be held inside the sorting center, which is not heated. Please dress according to the outside temperature. Protective equipment will be offered to participants for the visit of the sorting center. Flat and closed shoes required.
