A mural to be painted at Cascades’ Candiac plant to mark the company’s 60th anniversary

Kingsey Falls, Québec, July 25, 2024 – Cascades is pleased to announce the creation of a mural at its Candiac plant to mark the company’s 60th anniversary in 2024. The mural is being created by the artist collective TYXNA.

This project is part of Cascades’ commitment to the communities in which it operates, which includes beautifying environments. Cascades chose the Candiac plant as it is located near one of the municipality’s main arteries, a bicycle path and Parc André-J-Côté.

“We chose to create a mural in Candiac, which is home to one of our plants as well as the head office of the Cascades Tissue Group division. The company’s 60th anniversary is an opportunity to showcase our values and culture, leaving our mark as our builders did 60 years ago,” says Hugues Simon, President and CEO of Cascades.

“This collaboration is an opportunity for us to pay tribute to an emblematic Quebec company. Since its founding, Cascades has embodied sustainable and innovative practices, principles we share and are delighted to highlight. The work will not only be a visual celebration of its history, but also an artistic representation of its positive impact on the industry and our environment. We are honoured to contribute to this celebration and look forward to unveiling the work we have imagined.” explains Frederic, aka Fuse One, muralist with TYXNA.

A second mural has just been completed at the Cascades Papier Kingsey Falls plant.
